James “Jim” Gabster is a Knights of Columbus Field Agent with the M. Stice Agency, serving brother Knights and their families in Central, Pennsylvania. Jim has been a member of the Knights of Columbus since 1990 and became a Field Agent for the Order in 2017.

When asked why he became a field agent, Jim said, “I wanted to extend my Knights of Columbus experience after retirement to help resolve complex financial problems for Catholic families.”

Originally from Indiana, Pennsylvania, Jim earned a bachelor’s degree in economics and a master’s degree in business with MBA accreditation from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

Prior to becoming a Field Agent, Jim enjoyed a successful 40-year career in Software and Technology as a consultant, sales leader and sales executive.
Jim has been married to his wife, Nancy, since 1977. In her early professional career, Nancy was a software design specialist and programmer. Later in life Nancy was a Mathematic teacher and Department Chair at Bishop Eustace Catholic Preparatory School in Pennsauken, NJ. Jim and Nancy have three adult children. Jim and Nancy currently reside in East Petersburg where they are parishioners of St. John Neumann in Lancaster and Jim is a member of St. Joseph’s Council #7208. Jim is extremely active in several programs in his parish such charitable drives, church projects, and finance committee member homeowners’ association. Over the years, he has held the positions of Grand Knight and Chapter President within his council.

In his spare time, Jim enjoys hiking, fishing, reading, and traveling. 

When asked what he hopes to achieve for his members, Jim hopes to provide education on the value of the products the Knights offers. With this knowledge, Jim wants to equip our members with the tools to help their families and communities as well as encourage them to do charitable deeds which reflect the values of Christ, the Knights of Columbus and the Catholic Church.
